Roller coaster life... and gardening

Ok. So here  I am doing what  I thought I never would...blogging. My  life has been a  roller coaster this spring bringing new  adventures around every turn. So what, might you ask am I doing? I'm gardening... with a  twist. Now most people  know that I  garden  and have for  years. However this  year has been a departure  from the  norm in that, in my attempt to  get my husband to  give  gardening  another go ( nobody weeded or  worked in the garden  last year making it an  epic failure) we have somehow swung to the other  extreme  and  decided  to adopt a self  sufficient lifestyle. Not a  big deal for  those willing to take baby steps maybe...but Ken and I never do  anything slowly. SO Ken and I have taken extra steps in getting our garden ready for the  year including starting things from seed. So  far we  have started tomatoes,cucumbers, eggplants, peas, radishes, spinach, potatoes, onions, peppers, lettuce, zucchini,broccoli and  a full herb  garden.

I think we may have gotten in over our heads...only time will tell.
